India i would avoid because of tensions between china and india, not to mention the ROP issue in India.

Northern Japan, in places like Hokkiado need farmers so this would be a good place to go to farm and be appreciated, and the central northern Midwest is safe due to the a more rural setting as well as central Canada.

That is true about China and India and while nothing would please me more than moving to Japan (except living in Israel) The People's Liberation Army Navy sitting right next door does make me nervous.

If things (and they will eventually) fall apart in the USA, I think it would be a pretty safe bet that the Canadians (among others) would occupy the Mid Western States, so we would be in Canada anyway.
