Funny, I think I’d have more problem watching the Gospels as I am not too comfortable with mortal men portraying Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is God in flesh.

I think the OT lends itself to a more creative license as often (but not always) the meaning and message of the stories is more important than the precise words. The NT contains a lot more direct instructions to believers, so IMO, the exact words or more important.

I see what you mean but listening to someone reading the same words does not bother me so seeing the reader [speaker] is OK with me too.

The OT is to prepare for the NT so my thought is I would like to see that preparation emphasized rather than what seems to be continuous battles. Regards,
