Those dogs bark at everything. Leaves moving, cars driving by, maybe even grass growing. And it is an annoying yap, yap, yap. Big dogs judge what is worth an alert.

My little 3.8 lb., 14 year old Chi just passed away two weeks ago. She was a perfect little lady and never yap, yap, yappy. So what you say is not true of all of them. I've known big dogs that barked all night just to bark. So what you say about them is not true of all of them either.

Oh, so sorry for your loss. We have two, a 9 yo and one that is probably 3-4; he is not very healthy, so I don’t expect him to live long. The 9 yo is like a pup, wild and crazy. I call him my flying squirrel.
