Methane is odorless. Sulfur dioxide, a component of natural gas or swamp gas. Do reporters ever get anything right?

Pure methane is odorless. In nature it is very seldom pure.

Actually, if the source is biological it’s more likely to be H2S than SO2.

Though there are a number of sulfur gases and none of them smell nice.
