There was a dangerous shootout in the Inkster incident, with the guard shooting once through the wall at waist level (but maybe he’d seen that the others had gotten down on the floor). The robber had shot first at the guard, and the sight of the guard’s rifle may have been what caused him to turn and run instead of finishing him off. The AR-15 may have saved the guard’s life.

On reviewing the video I see that the shot through the wall was higher than waist level, about shoulder or head level.

In an
earlier thread here about the Inkster incident there was some question about whether that's really an AR-15. I have a pistol and used a rifle in the military decades ago, but don't keep up on such things. I have no way of knowing myself. You said "AR type" in your post here. Maybe that's what it is rather than an AR-15.
