When the driver drops the clutch 2 secs early, it’s tough to get the jack out, LOL.

Gibbs boys are too hyper on the pit entry speeds today.

EZ bend...copper alloy...compression fittings. Not that I’m crazy about compression fittings for brake lines. IIRC steel lines are good for 16k psi. Copper and compression around half that or less.

However if PA lets the lower psi pass it must be ok. PA is hell on inspections, sometimes for the silliest stuff.

Can’t you just buy an over-length steel line and add bends/loops to use up the extra length?

Yeah..you can. But on a small car like the old Saturn sometimes they end up all over the place.

FWIW on an old car like our Saturn I’ll just zip tie the new lines to the old ones. Years ago in PA that wouldn’t have passed inspection.

Mys son and I attended that race and we’re treated like royalty! Went back the next year and we were just more of the Po-white trash...

FWIW IIRC new Euro cars use a steel braided plastic or flexible line. Here it’s ok if it comes from the factory but if you retro on say a 1971 Nova ..no go.

Shoot...just missed the caution. Mrs p6 was buying something on QVC...

Of course you can, New brake lines come in several sizes and lengths but he’ll need a power brake bleeder and a compatible fluid to do the job properly...

Yeah I put all new stainless (including fuel) on my 67. Cost a king’s ransom but they are beautifully made.

I don’t like power bleeders, I use a hand vaccuum pump, it works quite well and low cost.

Of course I’m not in a production shop, LOL.

It has been San Juan, for 9 days. I was supposed to go home yesterday, but we changed flights because of the threatened storm. I was really hoping to be home, have a cold/cough. Dreading what the flight is going to do to it tomorrow.

5.6 secs for 2 tires, man these guys are rippin’
I’m always impressed how flawlessly the “putting on” guy is with the tire placement on the hub.
