Actually, three months is not a bad timeline..plenty of time to get all your affairs in order, say all your goodbyes..maybe there's one or two things on your bucket list you can still squeeze in...yet it's not a long, lingering death...she'll be on heavy meds...no pain..and up until the last week or so, it'll be bearable..

I think it's preferable to dying suddenly, like in a car accident..no time for any goodbyes, closure..

...I don’t know...I’ve got atherosclerosis, and will likely develop a terminal cardiac issue somewhere along the line...I’d rather go with a heart attack than with a long lingering illness, like both my parents...my mother died of ovarian cancer, and when it started going bad, in the last two months, it went real bad...
...car accidents are another type of animal altogether, and makes no distiction between young and healthy and old and infirm...they are tragedies, pure and simple...
