HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Parents of a 12-year-old girl were arrested Friday after allegedly arranging two abortions for the girl within 15 days, West Virginia State Police say.
Michael and Amanda Adkins of Cabell County were indicted this week by a grand jury on charges of child neglect causing the risk of injury.
State Police and Child Protective Services (CPS) workers were brought in on the case last year after a doctor first reported the pregnancy.
But troopers say the Adkinses -- unbeknownst to anyone in on the investigation -- arranged for a private abortion at a clinic in Charleston. Then, 15 days later, they went back to the first doctor and reported symptoms of miscarriage.

A little baby boy or girl has had her arms and legs ripped off in an extremely violent and painful abortion before she died - and you worry about the parent’s embarresment?
Do you even understand what abortion is? Or do you only know what the media tells you?

I suspect they want to find the father. The parents are anxious to get rid of any baby, ie DNA.
A twelve year old pregnant, is indicative, of our moral collapse. Sex Education in the schools. What do you expect when sex is all they see on T-V. indicative of Rape My A##.
I believe, even in WV a pregnant 12 year old is proof positive a rape occurred.
Clarification, in most states if the impregnator is close enough in age to the impregnatee it’s not classified as a crime. Don’t know about WV.

The only thing it proves is she should have had more parental supervision.

If the little girl was “playing doctor” with a 13 y.o. neighbor boy, the parents wouldn’t have rushed off to a second abortionist to dispose of the DNA evidence when the first doctor mentioned alerting the authorities and then return to the original doctor and claim a spontaneous abortion/miscarriage to derail any investigation ... This reeks of abuse by the parents or someone they know... Did you read the article all the way through?
your reply says a lot about you...very classy....anyway, the state investigated him THOROUGHLY and found that he had done nothing illegal. Perhaps the procedures he used weren't to your liking, and I certainly believe that he could have done a better job in handling the situation....that having been said....he took the advice of the psychiatric professionals which was the "thing" at the time. The state ruled that he did everything that he was legally responsible to do. I'm certain that he did everything that thought he was morally responsible to do.....was it enough, obviously, in hindsight (20-20), no. He did what was done at that time and the state agreed that he was not responsible for any criminal activity.
