Number Of US Gun Makers Refusing Sales To Gov't In 'Firearms Equality Movement' Triples In Two Weeks

On February 22, "Right Views" reported that a growing number firearm companies have suspended the sale of guns to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them.

In just two weeks, the number of companies participating in what has been named the "Firearms Equality Movement," has more than tripled from 34 companies to 118.

The Police Loophole lists every company and links to the statements that each has released regarding their new policies.

Wilson Combat, a custom pistol manufacturer located in Berryville, Arkansas, joined the movement on February 28 stating the following:

"Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens. This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements."

I don’t think I’d feel right living in a country where only the government can possess guns. That doesn’t pass the smell test.

Why not? Gov’t has declared war on gun mfg’s. Especially state gov’t’s. Rahm Emanuel, Bloomy pushing banks to quit doing business with gun makers.

Still waiting for the likes of Ruger, Remington, Winchester, and S&W to do the same. The big boys need to step up.

What are they going to do when Obama tries to shut them down? Or tax them to death?

It’s not like they don’t have plenty of other opportunities to sell their products.

If not, there are plenty of foreign gun manufactures that will sell their handguns, rifles, and shotguns to state and local law enforcement...it won’t matter in the end...

This is the kind of sh*t that the Federal Govt wants — a division - this way they stamp out the US manufactures - and then deny US Citizens from purchasing foreign manufactured weapons - they will pass some ordnance preventing this..of course — too late - the record number of gun sales since Zero took office and since DEC 2012 - there’s plenty to go around for 1000’s of yrs!

The Second American Revolution is underway, and this I am sure is a “loophole” the Administration didn’t think would ever come to pass.
Unfortunately, it will make the manufacturers who will still agree to sell to the Government all the richer.
Call it crony capitalism, it will eventually evolve into that.
The only hope for the the renegade manufacturers is if they make up for their lost sales to the Government by selling more to citizens.

I’m guessing that a lot of cops are buying them out of their personal money and being reimbursed.

This is great but we need Glock, Colt, S&W and Beretta to join in to make this really meaningful.

The ammo manufacturers should follow the gun mfg`s lead and not sell any AMMO to govt agencies. PERIOD>

The next step is to build a database for a private NICS that companies can use to exclude these unacceptable people from buying their products.

Do you know which company(ies) sold the 6 billion rounds of ammo to the US government. It/they need to be called on the carpet.

“Still waiting for the likes of Ruger, Remington, Winchester, and S&W to do the same. The big boys need to step up.”

Most, if not all the companies that are already participating are smaller companies with little or no stock holders. The big boys,(Ruger, Colt, Remington etc.) all have a large number stock holders so they can not move as fast on these types of decisions at the smaller companies.

An open web page with lists of agencies and their RKBA stances, including comments of chief LEOs, etc., should suffice. Excellent idea, one of the big pro-gun organizations should do it. GOA, perhaps.

The key is spreading the word.

These companies have said themselves they won’t sell to any gov employees in the offending precincts. Might as well put individual gov employees in too. Make it an open source thing like Wikipedia. Anyone can submit a name with a little sourcing to back it up.

The bigger issue is the way the larger companies sell their products. Some have direct-order for government sales, but some sell only to distributors - some of which sell to government or to “public safety supply” companies who deal with agencies. And some of those companies sell guns to local, state and federal agencies exclusively. They’re not going to join this effort.
