arbara Walters refuted reports that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was being fired from "The View." Early on in Monday's episode of the talk show, Walters discussed rumors that Hasselbeck was being pushed off the show because of the conservative opinions she often voices.
"Theres a particularly false story that keeps getting picked up about Elisabeths alleged departure saying we dont approve of her conservative views," Walters said. The truth is... we value and appreciate her point of view, its important to us, because it helps give the show perspective and balance."

Of course a different viewpoint is such a threat they made a story up. Elizabeth is no threat to anyone.

Wow, now that's a relief. I've really been stressing about this. We need a strong Conservative like Hasselbeck on our side! /sarc.

Well, Hasselbeck did run Rosie O’Donnell off the show! I never watch this hen fest but Elizabeth was definitely the best of a bad bunch.
If Barbara denies she’s been fired, count on it that E has been fired!

Ms WaWa should hope that Ms Hasselbck doesn’t leave. Should she do so, the sum IQ of the rest wouldn’t reach room temp.

. . . the sum IQ of the rest wouldnt reach room temp. You're meaner than me. I was going to post that the average IQ would drop to about 24.
You're calling all the rest of them idiots. I'm conceding that one of them might potentially have the IQ of a mere imbecile.

Apparently the leftmedia, hating Elisabeth Hasselbeck for not being an obedient liberal, eagerly 'reported' that she was fired for being 'too conservative' The inference being that the vast majority of people watching 'The View' are hardcore leftists and having a semi-conservative voice on the show ticked them off. I wish Hasselbeck would make a definitive statement on this. I assume she wants to leave and the media - projecting their biased opinion - made up the 'fired for being too conservative' story. Baba Walters, savvy enough to recognize this line didn't sit well with most folks, is just attempting damage control. I 'm sure Hasselbeck is gone, but not 'fired'.

Hasselbeck was only kept around as eye candy for unemployed metrosexual males who cant cope with the thrill-a-minute excitement on The Price is Right... Hasselbeck is around to give the APPEARANCE of balance, while not threatening the leftist dominance of the conversation.
I'd like to see Michelle Malkin or Megyn Kelly be Hasselbeck's vacation replacement for a couple of weeks, and watch the Leftist hags' heads explode.
