Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat.

In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to God.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

May your blessings outnumber the Shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

May your glass be ever full,
May the roof over your head be always strong,
And may you be in heaven
Half an hour before the devil knows you’re dead.

When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to Heaven. So, let’s all get drunk and go to heaven.

For every wound, a balm.
For every sorrow, cheer.
For every storm, a calm.
For every thirst, a beer.

Saint Patrick was a gentleman
Who through strategy and stealth
Drove all the snakes from Ireland
Here’s a drinkee to his health!
But not too many drinkees
Lest we lose ourselves and then...
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see them snakes again!

I have cogitated, and I have advised others to cogitate over many years. Cogitate is one of my favorite words. This week I have cogitated regarding the significance or lack thereof the election of a new Pope. I have also cogitated over the gun control crap that keeps drooling from the foaming mouths of stupid Dim Senators like Frankenstein from Kalifornia. Tomorrow I may cogitate over the prospect that Spring is less than a week away, and there are not any clear cut signs of Global Warming, at least not here in NE Ohio! May it get warm here and may algore go someplace that will freeze his balls off while it also smells strongly of brimstone.
