“Rooster Pecker” (pico-de-gallo) is an afrodisiac, no?

The recent massive influx of Mexican immigrants, legal and illegal, has had at least one positive side-effect. You can now find decent to excellent Mexican food almost anywhere in the country.

It was 20 years ago, but the best Mexican food I have ever had was 200 miles south of the border. In Billings, MT!

Yeah, I used to eat at an awesome Mexican place called Tacos del Carbon in Huntington Beach, but Del Taco has an acceptable substitute.

I don’t think I would eat anything from Taco Bell. In Texas we are blessed with too many other options.

I once ate at a Taco Bell in New Mexico, and they were serving green chile sauce--something unavailable at any other Taco Bell that I have been to. In a state where the motto seems to be "red or green?" (i. e. what sort of chile sauce do you want?) they must be trying to conform to local traditions.

I’ve seen packets of salsa verde in Taco Bell recently. But I skip them in favor of the “Fire” packets.

Hi, Taco Bell snobs? Everyone already knows Taco Bell isn’t Mexican food, so please stop trying to school us.

Taco Bell is American fast food with Mexican influences, like a focus on refried beans.

And here in Los Angeles, Mexicans absolutely love it. Ask them. See who’s standing in line for it between noon and two p.m. They consider it American food. So what?

It’s quick, it’s cheap, and it’s filling. Where else can you get lunch for four bucks? Not MacDonald’s.

Taco Bell is an American business success story that should be celebrated!

The same people who jump and point out that “Taco Bell isn’t Mexican food!” would also be quick to point out that I misspelled “McDonald’s,” so I’m beating them to the punch.
