A New York couple has been arrested and accused of plotting to babysit children as a cover to drug and sexually abuse them, federal prosecutors said.
Special agents with the FBI and NYPD detectives arrested Bebars Baslan, 35, and Kristen Henry, 25, from Brooklyn, on Tuesday night at a hotel in Jersey City, N.J.
Prosecutors say they believed they were going there to meet an acquaintance and three children, including a 1-year-old and a 3-month-old baby, that the group was planning to drug with children's Benadryl and take sexually explicit photos.
Prosecutors say that acquaintance was actually an informant who had contacted authorities last month to report that the couple possessed child pornography and were planning to open a babysitting business to find victims to abuse.
According to the criminal complaint, the informant then began working with the FBI to record phone calls and obtain other evidence.

IOW a organized pedophile ring. I seriously doubt these two just had an entrepreneurial epiphany and figured out a unique way to make money. Animals like these rarely operate in a vacuum. There is more to this than 2 creeps just deciding to crank out kiddie porn. It looks like the cops busted part of a procurement/distribution operation. I am willing to bet the trail leads to others higher up. Where there is smoke there is fire.

I think Bebars may be Arabic. There is a page on LinkedIn for some guy in NY named Bebars Baslan. Don’t know if its the same one but he seems to be the right age. The background summary says he’s multi-lingual with English and several Arabic dialects. If that helps any.

Feds planned public education as a cover to abuse children. There...fixed it.
I never saw a young couple without children (outside of family) wanting to babysit for my children. It would strike me as odd behavior if a couple wanted to spend their time babysitting for other people’s children. That would be enough oddness for me to stay away.
I did a lot of research on people proposing to care for my sons. With social media and camera monitoring systems these days, parents have an easier time checking out babysitters and day care workers. Check ‘em all. We are living in odd times.
I think classroom streaming video monitoring available to parents on their laptops should be done now. Parents should be able to drop in and see what is going on in the classroom any time they want. There is no reason for teachers to have secret classrooms. It would cut out a whole lot of misbehavior.
My wife taught at a daycare for 6 months. During that time she found and reported 4 cases of rape. All were children under 13. One was a 13 yr old down syndrome girl. Another was an 18 month old baby. My wife discovered blood in her diaper while changing her.
In all cases the children were from broken families. Everyone needs to be careful and watch over our babies.
