In describing his most recent segment, Mr. L wrote, I wanna talk about this dig at Sarah Palin by Karl Rove which was in retaliation for Palins dig at him at CPAC. And I did have this transcribed by the way. You can find it along with this commentary at mrltavern.com. I only did this once where I cut the audio and then gave it to a friend whos a fast keyboardist to transcribe it because I think this topic is important to be in both the spoken and the written word. I wanna talk about the concept of resignation and Sarah Palins resignation ..
In some salient quotes from the transcript, Mr. L spoke about Gov. Palin declaring war on the Rove / establishment wing of the Republican Party and how he would rather be in the fox hole with Gov. Palin than 25 people like Rove:

I understand the rationale. However, I’m not the voter Sarah has to convince if she runs.
Informed conservatives comprise 30-35% of the electorate. To win she will have to convince another 15-20% of the electorate to support her. The opposition will label her a quitter. It isn’t hard to see the ads - “She quit under fire as Governor of Alaska, can we afford to have a President who quits in a crisis?”
It is a legitimate issue whether it is Sarah or anyone else. I simply stated my suspicion the issue has been researched by Rove (and likely the democrats) and found to be resonating with voters. If Sarah plans to run and win she’s got to answer it to the satisfaction of 51% of the voters. If she doesn’t, she loses.
Not really, I don't think. Personally, I believe Rove doesn't give a damn about ideology -- he strikes me as someone who just wants to perpetuate the establishment. If that's with conservatives, fine, if it's with squishes, that's fine too, as long as it doesn't touch the inner circle's power structure and the consultancy racket.
“I have a question. Is the Tea Party a separate party from the Republican Party?”
Perhaps. That’s classified.

For Rove, his power game must continue. For Sarah, her sincere concern for Americans resonates.
