(1) These thugcops need to be prosecuted, not sued.

(2) I had a LEO encounter tonight, initiated by me. VERY professional LEOs. The antithesis of thugcops. But I live in Dallas, not Chicago.

PS “initiated by me” means I called them and they came...

Funny, the words “FIRED” nor “arrested” did not appear in the article.

The bulk of it is in quotes and apparently taken directly from the legal complaint filed by the plaintiff. I think a lawyer wrote it.

That would help to explain a lot of it. Back to English 101 for him/her.

Oh, I’m sure the internal investigation will be quite thorough.

Is Chicago still part of the United States?!?

I heard a while back that Chicago had voted to join Detroit and Philadelphia in hell.

Didn’t read like English is the writers primary language.

Well first of all they were pissed that there was no puppy to shoot so they took out their anger on the store owner.

I wonder. It seems they’re becoming more common to me, too. But are these incidents more common, or is somebody promoting the meme? It would be interesting see some sort of statistical study on that.

Kinda sounded like the writer was trying to copy a police report, write an article, pen a short story and meet a deadline; none of which worked-out very well. Heh.

Depends on where he was hit. A .22 can take you out with one round if you are hit in the right spot. .22s and .380 kill more than any other round. This is from FBI stats. These two rounds have a low recoil so you can get proper shot placement.

The tragedy of this is that it makes it very difficult for policemen and women who are good and fair at what they do to do their jobs well, because people suspect them, too. People tend to broad brush. Cops have very difficult, demanding jobs (and they face the worst of society five days a week (at the least), eight hours a day. The good ones (I’d say most of them are good ones) are being villified along with the bad ones.

True. It’s a natural reaction not to trust cops these days. They have authority and they can use it. One bad cop taints all the good ones.

If you or I shot someone 11 times we would be looking at a long time tied up in the legal system.

The writer of this crap article should get 5-10yrs; 2nd or 3rd worst I’ve read in last 3-4 mos.

I noticed the same. Seems like english was not the writer's native language.
