The crisis du jour is the fact that no one on the left read the Obamacare bill to find out the crasis of it before passing it. The fake outcry over CVS is laughable. ObamaCare weighs in: CVS tells employees to reveal personal health info -- or pay up ....there is a $600 penalty for not giving up your private info. Welcome to the Obamacare Bus....how many leftists will like this?

CVS isn’t doing anything different than any other company that wants to controls its costs.

If I want to be on the top health care plan my company offers, I have to jump through similar hoops. It’s actually quite rational to not “group” together people who smoke and are overweight and refuse to try exercising with those who are reasonably attentive to their health.

The company and I are partners in paying for health care. This saves both of us money.

This is not the same as excluding those with conditions or diseases beyond their control. This is about choices people make.

Companies (for now) are under no obligation to provide any insurance. So trying to save money (for them and their employees) by grouping like this is completely fine.

Now, if and when Obamacare mandates that you get in your daily time on the treadmill, or that you eat your veggies, then it’s a different issue.

I already get those calls....I just lie if I feel like it. It’s none of their biz. Cannot fathom that I need a nanny taking care of me. I get extra healthcare money for providing this info now. Wait till they just have full access to your efile personal health info on line from your doctor.

I get extra healthcare money for providing this info now.

Which is no different from "fining" those who don't comply.

Either way, it is a free company in a free market making decisions freely about how and if it wants to provide benefits to its employees who freely decide to work there.

It's simply not totalitarian. People, even FReepers, are acting like the company owes it to its employees to give them the best health insurance with nothing expected in return. It's an entitlement mentality.

Again, once there is only the federal gov't making all of the health insurance decisions for everyone in the country, then it will be totalitarian to withhold what is your "right" unless you eat your broccoli.

Some American English dialects perform a crasis of the phoneme -ai- in the word "crisis" where it sounds like "crasis"…

Snow-brrr! It is partly sunny and 71 here...

The crasis of the budget
The ‘rat senate submitted
Was so full of, um, fiction
I’m surprised it was submitted

Patty Murray is an airhead
Whose world is a unicorn park-
She can’t do simple math because
Her head is in a place that’s dark

She admits it never balances-
She doesn’t try to fudge it-
If they just want more to spend
There’s no point in any budget...
