Isn’t it an additional sin to knowingly continue to receive Communion with a sin like this? It is kinder to refuse Communion than to allow this. True, the Bishop(s) should take Joey and Nancy and countless others aside and tell them the Truth.
Of course, but the bishops want to make sure they are in good standing when the budget for Catholic Charities comes up, or their input is wanted on gun control, immigration or a nuclear freeze or other important church topics.
The only church topic that IS important is the souls of their sheep. They need to refocus on their mission.
Shoplifting? Wow. Any fire is sad to me. The emotion of families on the scene are powerful. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
I think I read that it is their home Bishop who is supposed to perform this task, i.e. it is none of Dolan’s business. Nancy is beholden to the SF Bishop, and Uncle Joe to the Bishop of Wilmington, DE.
But, I wonder about Cardinal Wuerel’s jurisdiction, since they both spend so much time in DC.
I had an uncle who used a similar phrase when we used to hunting with him-if we shot a deer and had to go after it, and it was found down/dead, my uncle would say it is over there, tits up.
If affecting a tittup walk
To call the attention away
From the nonsensical nature
Of whatever he has to say
Is the last ditch effort of
Emperor Obama and his bunch,
They are truly ill-equipped
For this fact-finding crunch
Between kids in the Bahamas
And Biden’s limo rental bills
I suppose the only thing to do
Is improve their strutting skills...
At the risk of being uncharitable myself, it makes me see red every time Biden and Nasty Nancy are allowed to receive holy communion and not a word is spoken against it. If I supported the things they do-in public-I’d expect to be censured in public, no doubt about it...
