I have heard some odd rumors and even from my local Walmart that they are upset with the in store purchases and hoarding where the dock managers are buying the stock much like an office pool with other employees and then selling the stock online and splitting the profits.

So to counter this shipments for the most part are being restricted and soon they will just send in a mass load of aisle filling pallets and with security on hand and purchase limits will then sell. Our local WM in Alaska does that all the time, they get a massive inventory dump on the store about once a month, its cheaper to ship in bulk at one time instead of a constant daily restocking.

No 9mm at the Walmarts I have been to, they did have Winchester 45 ACP for the same price.

Grab the rifle calibers. .243; .270; .308; .30-06. Don’t let the bastards get within 250 yards of you and yours.

There ought to be an on-line list. I agree, though. Good to know what they drive, where they eat, gas up, etc., too.

I actually hate reloading .223, especially on a single stage.

I’ll just say the stock I have on hand in relation to the current prices would buy me a new truck. I have even considered a barter situation locally. Got me some nice pet loads using of all things the Barnes Triple shocks in the .308 for a gas gun, no super ultra velocity but distinctive and consistent terminal hunting results much better than I have seen using A frames or Trophy Bondeds.
Sure its an all copper bullet but they WORK!

We haven’t seen the volume business model or business approvals of competition for decades. When the craze stops and dries up sales, instead of lowering prices, they’ll cut production. Lumber is a good contemporary example. And as for most big business interests, they’re now government-linked commies, sucking up to their politically correct relatives in government and academia. Look at the political candidates they allow in their “gatekeeping” now: socialist trash, all. I worked contract jobs in offices of many companies during the ‘90s and only saw the politics of social and fiscal leftism in those places. Some of the “chairpersons” were even foreigners hostile toward Americans and especially hostile to men.

CTD is the highest priced of those that have AR ammo. And that Lake City 5.56 wasn’t $350 last year.

Today I bought Independence 5.56 55 grain for $10.99 a box of 20 at my local gun store. Unusual of course. But they have had Lake City 5.56 in ammo boxes of 900 rounds for $750 the last 2 weeks.

Not my first choice, but they have WPA Classic .223 for $460 a thousand today. Works fine in my RRA, but adds a good bit of time to the cleaning of the firearm.

You want to find ammo, don’t shop online, find smaller local gun shops.

Hornady’s web site says that 5% of their sales go to the gummermint.

Bottom line is that thinking people in this country are seriously arming up. For good reason, IMO. And, I think that this current shortage is a fair price to pay for that, and the awakening that is responsible for it. Crunch time is coming my friend.

I had not even thought of it but you are probably right. If middlemen really are grabbing up large lots in order to gouge, I hope they get caught with it when prices return to normal.

Too bad it looks like one of those old Remington slugmasters or whatever they called them with his finger on the trigger. Priceless!! :-)

I am not even sure that is a real shotgun. It might be Photoshopped. Look at the distance from his hand which apparently is right at the back of the action, to the butt pad.

Went into the local big box store That Shall Not Be Named (Dicks) and all they had was 16 and 28 gauge #6 shot.

Had to laugh since I have a 16 and in the old days they rarely had any - 12 or 20 filled the racks.

Left ‘em there since they were overpriced and I stocked up last year.

Shotgun ammunition is still very available and relatively cheap.

Sure didn’t seem cheap to me. BTW, the store was stripped of almost all other ammo.

"Why is DHS buying all the ammo who do they intend to shoot with 2 billion rounds of ammo, 19 hijackers?.... "

"Dry up demand and put weak dealers out of business. Defacto gun control."

So they can be replaced by cut-out dealers who actually work for DHS. Defacto registration.

(I gotta quit reading these threads. It's making me paranoid.)
