PALM BAY, Fla. - Palm Bay police arrested a grandmother they say was chaperoning an elementary school field trip at Wonder Works while intoxicated.
Kathryn Wright, 58, has been charged with disorderly intoxication and battery. Another chaperone told police that while on a Lockmar Elementary School field trip on Thursday, Wright was using profane language and was falling down on the bus with children present.
Wright then shoved and shouted profanities at the other chaperone as she tried to help keep Wright calm, according to the report. The other chaperones said the incident scared the other children on the bus.
Police said Wright couldn't stand or walk when paramedics arrived and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
When she was questioned by authorities, Wright said she drank two bottles of diluted vodka and threw them in the trash. Police said they found the empty water bottles, which smelled like alcohol.
She was taken to Brevard County jail.
One of my main men lives in Palm Bay. His daughter died a couple of years ago, leaving a 5-year old daughter. So my pal and his wife adopted their granddaughter to keep the child’s father from taking her. They send their granddaughter to a Catholic school in Palm Bay to avoid just this type of situation.
Maybe kids are more sensitive today, but when I was a kid, everyone would have thought of this as hysterically funny.
You don’t fuss with Ma none, hear?!
I was thinking the same thing. Poor kid.
Heck, that face should scare liberals more than an AR 15!!
Damn she does look like Levin, minus the stupid spectacles that he wears and plus the hair!
LOL
Good grief...she looks 70.
I know any number of 70 somethings that do not even begin to resemble that woman. What a life she must have had.
My screen!
Indeed.
God bless you and keep you, FRiend.
