But while you were away the rest of the country decided that Anne Hathaway was the source of all our troubles, so we're all working together on that.
Not the case at all. I, for one, remain completely incorruptible. No pony shall tempt me, no bushel-basket full of skittles, no limitless EBT card good at the liquor store, no Medicare sex-change operation, no white tutu wedding between me and my boyfriend at the National Cathedral and on your dime, nosirreeBUB! Well, OK, only a little tempted. Well, a lot, actually.
If this was true, it's certainly not any more. I've been thinking lately that FR has become one of the more negative ans pessimistic sites on the Internet. Just go down the list of posted articles and see what fraction take a negative tone about something.
Granted, conservatives have quite a lot to complain about right now, but is it really a good idea to just be a site full of glass-is-half-empty whiners and complainers? Isn't that what liberals are supposed to be like?
It's probably not even healthy or conducive to a forward outlook to expose oneself to a constant stream of negativity.
I hadn’t even thought of April Fool all day and forgot it was even April1st-—— until I got to your 5th and 6th paragraphs, and I said ?Huh? Then it dawned on me.

I’m off my feed . . been sick with a virus for over 4 weeks now. Usually get my husband with a really good April Fool joke; but ever since I got him good year before last on 4/1, it’s been downhill ever since. . . thought I had him this morning, though. Told him the cat had dragged in a rattlesnake on the back porch and screamed and hollered. Almost had him; but he happened to remember it’s 4/1 and called me on it. - The trick year before last was one where I did an authentic looking form where he was notified by the “AUTHORITIES” that he would be required to move our rural mailbox back from the road several feet because it was breaking local rules. He really was bummed out about it; then when I finally hollered, “April Fool’s”; he was SO relieved because it was going to be such a job moving. Since then, my jokes fall flat; but, never fear, the day isn’t over yet! :o)
