According to Breitbart's AWR Hawkins on WMAL this morning, Sen Blumenthal (D-CT)will introduce an amendment to the universal background check that will ban 'high capacity' magazines.

The good news is this will insure its defeat. Hawkins said the bill was going no where in the first place, but this will insure the bill is killed.

If you can pass a universal background check, why can’t you be trusted with a “high capacity” magazine?

According to what I read, all existing high cap. mags will have to be registered with the state.

Universal background check - what a joke. As if a criminal is going to obey that law in preparation for breaking other laws...

For a great take on it, and devastatingly common-sense look at it see:

Warning lib lurkers, this video shatters your cherished beliefs that background checks would do anything to stop violence.

It’s what they call a “poison pill”... it’s a legislative strategy by which an amendment that nobody likes is added to a bill. The amendment causes the entire bill to fail.

Have any of our supposedly elected elite read and understood the last for words of the 2nd amendment?
