Gee thanks everybody, now I’ll have to sleep with the light on after reading this thread.

It’s different than a mere nightmare. Your eyes are open, but you can’t move. You see the room in real-time, with the nightmare mixing with what you actually see.

The first time it happened, I could see that something was on fire in the next room, but I couldn’t do anything about it (paralysis). The flames got brighter and brighter, until a little girl engulfed in flames came slowly walking in the room with her arms outstretched. The flames had no effect on her as she was coming toward me; her face was emotionless. I woke up before she reached me.

The second time, a window broke in the next room, and I could hear someone rummaging around. I saw him walk by the door, but I couldn’t get my gun. I was just laying there, hoping he wouldn’t get me. I woke up before he entered the room.

The third time, demons were flying around my bed. By now, I knew what was really happening, so it didn’t really scare me.

The thought of that little girl still gives me the creeps, though.

They are real demons..but scientists and others “experts” are too dumb to see it. They are possessed themselves with demons of “knowledge.”

I used to have this quite regularly, almost everyday. With a little effort I can still make it happen. Usually this involves waking up earlier in the morning, doing a little meditation or prayer, and then laying back down sleep on my back. Very shortly after lying down, within 20-30 seconds, there is this collapsing sensation, followed by a very loud roaring sound and an intense feeling of vibrations. At that point I can open my eyes and look around the room, but I am unable to move (other than my eyes) or talk. Sometimes I’ll see somebody in my room, usually a friend or loved one; other times no one will be around but little things will be subtly out of place. If I persist in trying to move my body I’ll “pop out” of my body, and that’s where things get really cool. Although there are sometimes sensations of physical discomfort — an intense feeling of pressure on my abdomen, for example — I’ve never seen anything particularly frightening.

I hope nobody ever really breaks into my room, because my standard “waking-up” response to thinking there is someone in my room is to throw a stuffed dog at them. Or a pillow. Neither of which is likely to cause serious concern for a real burglar.

I guess it is better than waking up shooting the computer.
