Does it strike anyone else as odd that they would put in this article that they are "anti-government?" Why even mention that?

Maybe it will help find them, like hint towards the kind of people that may be helping them and the kind of place where they may be.

Are they saying they “took” their own children?

I would want to know more.

More questions than answers in the article - Why were the children in their grandmother’s custody? Why did the children’s parents not have custody? Could that have anything to do with their being “anti-government”? Are the children endangered?

Without any more info. I would guess they kidnapped their own children after the government placed them in Grandmothers care. This won’t end well.

Is this a stranger abduction, or a run of the mill family disturbance matter?

“Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous and according to authorities”

Probably just a CCW holder or purchased a gun once. Maybe the grandmother said he touched a gun once in his life.

Gotta put down these white anti-govt types, at all cost.

“Anti-government” is exceedingly vague, and covers the entire gamut from left to right.

It could refer to anything from ELF-types to those involved in the Sovereign Citizen movement or White Nationalist/Christian Identity militias.

The article is not specific as to what “anti-government” means. Shoddy reporting, in my view. If the perps are involved with ELF, then say so....likewise, if they’re part of the SC movement or WN or CI movement, say so.

Personally, I wouldn’t turn in a parental ‘kidnapper’ unless I had substantial reason to believe it was warranted (i.e., something beyond the gov’t merely saying so).

“Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous and according to authorities, are anti-government and have attempted a previous abduction at gun point in Louisiana.”

Could the media please explain what makes them “armed and dangerous” simple because they possessed weapons while trying to recover their own children?

Everyone in my office just received an alert about this on our cell phones. Structured as an amber alert.

If you configure alerts on your phone you also see the option for Presidential Alert, which cannot be turned off.

Boycott BayNews 9 for even printing a story like this where they are very obviously leaving out important details to suit their own agenda.

I am assuming that the person who took the children is their father and that the woman thought to be with the man and the children in their mother. I am also assuming that the grandmother had legal custody of the tots. Should not have to assume anything about such basic facts.

Very poorly written. What in the name of pete do these journo-listers study in their writing classes?

Does Bay News comment on crimes committed by people who support the Black Panthers?

"Couple who robbed store were supporters of the local Black Panther group"..(you will never see this in a headline...)

Or people who support 'Occupy'?

The new meme is 'get the Jews' ... Oh wait, the new meme is 'get the conservative'. Not actually a conservative - but if they can paint with a broad enough brush... and they can... they'll trash us.

That is odd. From the news, many of the psychos, perverts, frauds, thieves, anti-American foreign interests and other criminals are government rather than anti-government.
