Governor Palin to CNN: American Viewers are Smarter Than You Assume
Conservatives4Palin ^ | April 7, 2013 | Stacy Drake

Posted on 04/07/2013 10:05:11 AM PDT by Bratch

Late last night, I made reference to a tweet Governor Palin sent out with a link to last week’s Tony Lee article taking on John Avlon. Somehow I missed the fat that the Governor also posted a note to Facebook on the matter. I apologize.

Via Facebook:

CNN: it’s no wonder your ratings still aren’t matching competitors. American viewers are smarter than you assume, and we simply want truth in reporting.

Please see the article linked below. Wolf Blitzer’s recent coverage of this story really was blisteringly dishonest. First, because he didn’t reach out to me or the SarahPAC staff for rebuttal. Second, because he failed to disclose the anti-tea party associations of the “architect” of this story whose organization is a competitor of my efforts to advance the candidacies of genuine grassroots conservatives – not those handpicked by the permanent political class. As the article explains, in my recent CPAC speech I gulped and denounced the consultants who engage in campaign hopping and have made a racket out of multi-million dollar failures each election cycle for themselves and their cronies. What a shame CNN continues to plug away in a floundering direction with reports like this. The shame is that they employ some top-notch reporters who no doubt believe in truth in journalism, but examples like this diminish the good reporters’ good efforts.

As a side note, I find it interesting that CNN recently disclosed that their old “Crossfire” show might hit their airwaves again. Wasn’t CNN among those who issued blistering criticism about the use of a “crossfire” icon in 2010 to represent political districts we wished to see represented by commonsense conservatives? CNN, among others, implied that using a “crossfire” icon (which was a tactic first employed by Democrats to illustrate political maps of districts they “targeted” to win) was inciting violence.

Shouldn’t it have been: “The American viewers are smarter than you asses.”?

The best television I’ve seen in a good while was Trump telling Blitzer how few viewers he actually had.

The thing I like the most about Sarah is that SHE DOES NOT APOLOGIZE!

Nothing new there. ALL the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms are "blisteringly dishonest" - - they have to be in order to properly promote their party.

Sarah gives me hope that at least some Americans aren't complete Sheep.

Although too many (even on F.R.) only believe what the MSM tells them to believe

Oy vey. Unfortunately, I believe we are screwed. Too many a$$holes and not enough us.

Although I watched a few videos this morning. One of them stated it would only take 20% of the population to make a difference.

I pray we have over that 20%. Whatever is coming our way is NOT good. I’ve noticed Sarah has been speaking a lot more than usual.

Perhaps she also feels the impending “doom” about to come up upon us.

She’s just more positive than I am! I really need to work on that!

I like how she doesn't take it sitting down. She stands up and calls 'em out on their (constant) lies. Go Sarah!

“Funny how this dumb, out of touch, non Ivy League, bimbo hick always gets the last laugh with thes brilliant well educated wizards, ain’t it?”

I've had personal interactions with four Nobel laureates and multiple others who are given credit for being ‘smart’. This means nothing, and I am only stating this to make the point that in my view there's not a whole lot of difference between most of these people and the people that we interact with on a daily basis. Further, the smartest among them would admit the same - they don't need to prop up their egos.

I don't think of myself as anything special, but I also don't think of myself as less than most of those I interact with, irrespective of what accolades they may or may not have achieved. Life is a journey that can go in many directions, and involve many course changes - whether planned or unplanned. What really impresses me are people who are unselfish and who are driven by being better than what they are. I am also impressed most with people who are not impressed with themselves. These criteria, I'm afraid, exclude many, many liberals who, as a group, tend to include tons of Narcissists with grandiose ideas about how superior their world view is and how important it is for them to ‘guide’ the rest of us to the truth that they are uniquely smart enough to see and understand. I'd bet that the lazy self-indulgent jerk Marx felt that way about himself, as Stalin and Hitler likely did, and as too many current day politicians likely do.

My overall point is that Sarah Palin, in my opinion, demonstrates much more intellectualism than people like Obama and his sycophants ever do. She is not dumb, in the slightest, yet the self-proclaimed intelligentsia have effectively labeled her as such. Most impressively, she is able to handle herself with grace and avoid anger, no matter how they characterize her. I have been, admittedly, often a failure at this, and I truly admire her for her passion, her perseverance, her use of fundamental principles rather than inappropriately obscure rationalizations and arguments to voice her convictions, and her sincerity. I don't care about ‘clever’. Clever and smart are not equivalent. Really smart people with good ideas don't need to be ‘clever’ to make their points and have impact.

The liberals to to squeeze out of their twisted lies by not asking conservatives for their opinions, and the good ones answer anyway. Good work, Sarah Palin!

Sarah doesn’t use weasel words (”falsehhod”, “untruth”, etc.), that’s for sure.
A lie is a freaking “lie” - - three letters, one syllable. Brevity is the soul of wit. And clarity. And honesty.
