POW, ‘frog!

We’re down to “nut-cutting time”, and it’s gonna get real ugly in many states.

Richard Burgess, President of Connecticut Carry, joins Tom this Sunday with info on the latest anti-gun legislation passed this week by Connecticut legislators and signed into law by Governor Mallory. The new legislation, among other things, adds more than 100 firearms to the state's assault weapons ban and creates what is being called the nation's first dangerous weapon offender registry, as well as a magazine ban and eligibility rules for buying ammunition. Read more on the story from the Litchfield County Times at http://bit.ly/Zb3Br1, and get more information on Connecticut Carry at their website: http://ctcarry.com/News/Releases. Impacted by the new legislation, Mossberg's Tom Taylor stops by to discuss the company's operations and future, both in Connecticut and Texas. You can find out more about Mossberg's latest products at http://www.mossberg.com/ .

Also on this Sunday, Louisiana State Representative Jeff Thompson (R, Bossier City) created Defend Louisiana in January, and has been traveling the state to drum up support for the Second Amendment. He drops in to talk about Defend Louisiana, and upcoming gun legislation in Louisiana this session, which starts April 8th. Visit http://defendla.org/ or https://www.facebook.com/DefendLA for more information.

I got a “Retirement Award” of $1000.00 a few days ago. The catch is I must spend it at Sportsmans Warehouse because they wouldn’t give me the money, I had to specify a location of my choice to spend it at and the check was made out to that location.

My problem is I want to buy a new Rifle but can’t make up my mind which one. I need help here with recommendations.

I’m not going to list the guns I have but request any suggestions anyone would recommend.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Home defense? Distance shooting? Plinking?

What do you want to use it for?

Personally, if you have a nice collection of firearms, I’d spend it on ammo (when available) and hi-cap mags (when available). $1,000 isn’t going to go very far with the hugely-inflated prices for firearms/ammo/mags, these days.

Invest in bass and lead and hi-cap mags. I did over the past 11yrs, and I’m well-stocked.

JMO.

Only black powder and air guns on their website. Did they cave to the anti-gunners or something?

They don’t show them. I have to go into the store to see them. Quite a pain in the rear because it’s a 35 mile drive one way.
