They’re stalling, hoping for the temperature to go up. If it does, the game is back on.

They don’t want to admit the obvious. It is the communists and islamists who run oil fields and coal mines with technology from the early 50’s that is causing pollution and that doesn’t fit their anti American agenda.

We can pull more coal and oil from the earth on 1/100 of the footprint and it will be cleaner. We mus pound it into the left that they are supporting the destruction of the earth.

Historically they tend to start world wars so everyone forgets about their past mistakes.

There was a time, when the concept was fairly new, that I was very concerned about anthropomorphic climate change. Back then I was also somewhat of a democrat, and strongly felt that the climate issue was one that could be used by the Democrats - especially if there was a heat wave before an election cycle. Didn’t take long for that to happen. I have since looked at the data and reassessed.

I believe in conservation (i.e. avoiding avoidable waste), and I believe in preserving natural beauty where we can, and in being good stewards of the land we use. This is, in my view, very much consistent with conservative values. Ironically, it has always been the leftist countries who have treated their land and natural resources the worst.
