Dang! Looking at my inventory I’m suddenly rich! I saw 500 rds of .22lr for $149.00 the other day on line. Of course if I cashed in I wouldn’t have any so looks like I’ll be “sequestering” my inventory.

Cheaper Than Dirt is a ripoff. Worst site on the net.
But, yes, .223 is expensive overall.
It’s why I bought tungsten a pallet core/copper jacketed 5.45×39mm at .08/round. (Literally, a pallet, like 30,000 rounds or something.)
I bought the AK-74 after I bought the ammo.
Plink with it, instead of my Ruger 10-22 -— BECAUSE it’s cheaper than .22LR.

“ONLY!” LOL! Looks like they forgot to put “New and Improved” on there. It can be found cheaper other places. Not THAT much cheaper but still cheaper. AmmoSeek.com, AmmoEngine.com

LOL! Now that is sad isn’t it. Crap, wonder how much .50’s are per round no. Not that I have or “need” one.

I'd be happy to just find some .22LR at a sane price.

I saw some X-TAC in my local gun store for $9.99 per 20 round box ... probably wasn't armor piercing ... but at $0.50 a round you can shoot it, pick up the brass, add $0.25 cents worth of bullet and powder ... and do it again.
Cheaper Than Dirt is ... not ... and the price of dirt has certainly not skyrocked.

It's a constant battle to keep my grandson from burning up my stash. Did you do a background check thru NICS on the little rascal before you loaned him your .22?

I am thinking of getting a 30-06 to finish my collection- any reason why I shouldnt?
I have a 30-30, a 410/.45 combination, a 12 guage pump, and a single shot .22 for practice
I love the 410/.45 combo- if the SHTF it can become a nice revlover you can shorten (to the legal limit, of course) and keep hand for close encounters
sheesh... I would think I was watching too much TV only I dont have a TV

I figure that if the U.S. Army lets him play with guns he should be able to shoot at home, but it would be better for me if the Army paid for that ammo too.

My ammo is doing better than my silver. I wish I had bought more of both in the ‘90s but I bought what I could. I correctly bought more ammo than silver.
