An off-duty officer opened fire this morning, killing her husband and 1-year-old son in an apparent murder-suicide in Brooklyn this morning, sources said.

Police and EMS responded to a 911 call of a man shot inside of a building at East 56th Street and Farragut Road about 8:30 a.m., the FDNY said.

Maybe one was a Knicks' fan and the other a Nets' fan.

Hmmm, how many police are killed in suicides every year compared to how many are killed by perps?

If suicides are higher, then I would like to push that issue with those who do not acknowledge the benefit of unfired firearms as a deterrent, i.e. “We need to take away the police firearms, as they are a greater danger to the police than the perps.”

It's the same logic the Left uses against armed citizens.

So, using Leftist logic, the police should be disarmed for their own good.

I read an article last week on a Los Angeles' TV station's web site. The subject was about a black jockey who could be on a horse in the upcoming Kentucky Derby. The caption already gave him the win: he is the first African-American jockey to win the Kentucky Derby in 102 years. I guess we don't have to watch.
