I saw that too, the woman and she wasn’t the only one ignored the people hurt, ran past them and checked her watch as she came up to the finish line.

Saw a few people there who never helped, just carried on and thought screw them I’m here to finish.

Course FOX and others always look for the hero’s and even called the national guard out as hero’s but then showed a clip of one national guard standing there texting as people lay hurt

If you have ever competed in an event like this or a triathlon you would not be surprised. Most runners in this event really push themselves so many don’t have all their faculties at the end of it. 4 hours of focusing on the finish line, reduced electrolytes, and fatigue can make you miss lots of stuff and your brain may not function normally.

This is the reason they have such a huge medical staff at the end of the race (and along the route) - they are there to care for runners until their heart rate reduces and they get their electrolytes built back up. It’s not fair to read so much into how the runners behaved at the finish line.
