Signs on Northbound on I-5 near Chehalis , WA (88 miles south of Seattle )

The federal government is now petitioning to have these signs removed or Washington state will be denied additional monies for interstate highways. The State of Washington replied, they will secede from the Union rather than be intimidated. These are a matter of free speech paid for by a private citizen.

It seems the Obama government uses intimidation and ignores the first amendment when they want to silence someone.

As long as I can remember any time the feds did not get their way in Nebraska the first thing they always did, always being the word there, was threaten to take away highway funding.

Holy cow. Never expected from WA.

I thought they all lock step with their Senators Murray and Cantwell.

Sorry, my sincere apologies to Washington State.

I agree with you. I find the game-playing to be offensive.

This entire post is complete and total BS going back to when I first saw it years ago. No one in the government of Washington State has threatened secession in any way, shape or form. The state's politics are dominated by the Seattle metroplex, which is hard core Far Left.

The citizens of the metroplex would be happy to secede -- if they could join British Columbia and become part of Canada. A referendum on that topic in the metroplex would easily draw 60% in favor of a Canadian annexation.

But Washington is not threatening secession.

Ah yes... The Hamilton Signs... For many years the source of much fun and wonder when driving by on the freeway. Always something new. Back in the old days it was mostly Bircher stuff, anti-UN and such. But just to be clear... While I agreed generally with his signs, old man Hamilton was a nut job. I had the honor of having him personally threaten me with a shotgun once, when I was a kid. Probably a good guy in lots of ways but the dude had a really short fuse and turned into a frothing vein-popping foul mouthed redneck in an instant. :-)

Instead of the wasted money used by campaigns that tried to beat oblinder the last go around it should have been spent on signs like these across the country.

I can understand why they would want to remove it, -to silence conservatives.

He ought to put up one with obama saying something along the line of "My buddies in Olympia want these signs taken down".

Your post and now lack of credibility. offends me. There is something wrong if you won’t tell us what the signs say but keep blowing the matter off to a damaged link.

I got the link to open. All the pictures are Photoshopped. I doubt a single one is real and I now gave him a stupid blog hit.

Rural Washington is very conservative. They are just neutralized by the cesspool that is pinko commie Seattle. Thanks, Microsoft.

Sorry, but the signs are real and are enjoyed by many in this Seattle influenced state. I just wish we had more like him, (sign owner), up in the Seattle area.

Believe it or not, back when I moved out to Washington Seattle was still a working class city with...wait for it...conservatives. All that changed when Microsoft opened and Boeing started hiring all the aerospace employees from CALIFORNIA. Hasn’t been the same since.
