I am almost 50% certain that the Dems will try to jettison the AHCA before next November saying that the mean ole GOP won’t fund it.
They'll certainly try any number of deflections, evasions. New candidates like Colbert's sister in SC may get a pass since they didn't vote for it. It will be much harder for incumbents.
Neither any Democrats nor any Republicans will jettison it unless they can do it in a way tha keeps all the new government employees employed and all the new IS|RS functions and most of the new taxes intact. I am waiting with interest at the eventual USSC ruling on the Constitutionality of the Senate originated taxes that the law is full of. If that makes it Unconstitutional it will still not be jettisoned. What interests me is how the Republicans and Democrats will rewrite and pass the S.O.S. to keep it all there. Government jobs will NOT be terminated.
Reid is already saying that very thing about it.
