Anecdotal. They also call motorcycle riders “organ donors” even though I used to ride a lot and I know a lot of guys in their 60’s that have ridden their entire lives, yet I only hear stories of guys that got maimed or killed except for one kid that broke his wrist not paying attention to traffic. He wasn’t even doing anything illegal.

Still, safety is a relative term. But your recommended punishment is grossly unwarranted. Drunk driving is different, however.

Anecdotal

What,my experiences or the ones of that German cop? Sorry *I* don't have any photos to show you but...remember the picture of the dead jihadi from Boston that's been on the web? Well,*I* have seen people come in after an MVA (motor vehicle accident) that looked 10 times worse than that even before the surgeons went to work (the jihadi was photographed *after* surgical intervention). And as for the cop...he either did,or didn't,patrol the Autobahn. If he did...for any length of time...I have *no* problem believing his story given what *I've* seen result from accidents at 70mph.

And as for bikes...anyone with the most basic understanding of physics can easily imagine what might happen to a rider involved in an accident at 70mph....or even 40mph.

Maybe not. It’s called “reckless endangerment” and going so much faster than most traffic would go, on limited road geometries - this is not AZ or MT - is indeed ridiculously dangerous.
