Heads up, Saturday night Race!
It looks like Keselowski and Logano will be losing their crew chiefs for on two races. The fines and points taken away still stands though. Shucks!
David Ragan was thrilling.
I think I spied Danica crying after the pile-up.
I am going to be on vacation and unsure if I can make a Saturday night ping.
News (I haven't seen any fun car threads on FR this week):

I have to say, I felt bad for Danica. After her amazing miss of the previous wreck, and running near the front, that had to have hurt.
Darlington can get almost as wild as the restrictor tracks. Wonder who gets whacked this race.
Oh I felt bad for Danica too. She’s the only reason we watch. Someday she will make history.
Should be an interesting race. I think the Gen6 will do pretty good adding Darlington Stripes to the walls.
I was at ‘Dega and I will comment on a few things, it was intersting that Ricky Stenhouse was leading the 1st pack and Danica the 2nd. I’ve been a Dale Sr./Junior fanfrom day 1 of my NASCAR days. But Danica Patrick is not your idea of a “girl” driver, No sir, that girl can drive.
seeing her get around KB coming down the track... it was good.
I didn’t whar Danica said after the race sunday but it seemed to me that if she had kept going straight she might have avoided the flying car. It looked like she saw the car flying through the air and decided to go up the track to avoid it and thats where she hit the person on her right and then she wrecks herself. I haven’t really watched alot of NASCAR lately but aI enjoyed watching the end of that race on sunday.
She drove her car into the wall
I became a Nascar fan at the age of 11 in 1978 and watched it religeously on tv and listened on radio up until about 2002 or 2003. It changed to the point I just didn’t care for it anymore, but I did manage to watch some of the super speedway race this past Sunday. It was worth it to watch the Hendricks dynasty get denied a sweep for a change.
I have to tell you, I think as much as people like to dislike the Hendrick’s team, they have done to Nascar what Tiger Woods did to golf. A few years ago they so dominated the sport, week in, week out, it made other teams step up to the plate.
Disclaimer, I am a Jeff Gordon fan. But I also like rooting for Michael Waltrip, Mark Martin, and kiddos like Trevor Bayne. Oh, the Aussie (too early in the morning for my brain to engage).
I used to dread when Juan Pablo got close to my favorite drivers, but kind of enjoy watching and hoping to see him win. Kurt Busch was the bad boy no one liked, but wow, he has grown up and has the drive to be a historical star. And even though there is a bit over-the-top attention given to Danica, I look forward to seeing her win at least one race. She is determined and week after week she is getting better and staying closer to the front.
But, don’t get me started on their PC stunts. Ugh. NRA 500 still chaps my hide.
I'm not a fan of Danica, but
6 top ten finishes in 7 Indy 500s.
That's a very good accomplishment.
She does have good instincts and is doing OK with the minimal OJT she’s had.
82 degrees w/20 percent humidity. Weather is great but snow is always a possibility in the high-desert.
Danica puts her fire suit on one foot at a time just like the rest of the drivers...
Are you insinuating that she Danica has a “leg up” on the competition?? I see that Gibb’s penalties have been greatly reduced per NASCAR news and that’s certainly understandable after the heavy-handed judgement. Getting outa dodge this afternoon for a trip to Ashland and Harry & David’s. That $262,000 of Krugerrand’s missing from that ladies backyard still hasn’t been found.... First road trip for the 335i convertible w/ mid-80’s forecasted. Peas and pergola are up, the top will be down. Life is good.
It has been snowing for about 3 days here. Don’t have a convertable cause it would fill with snow. My new car may be bobbing on a boat crossing the pond about now.
I was hoping you would check in. Unbelievable. The mtns are deep in snow. They were still deep white from last weeks storm... going to be a huge thaw here in a few weeks.
We got close to 0.3” rain in about an hour today.
Crater Lake’s road around the rim is being cleared one month early as C.L. only got 350” of snow instead of the normal 550”.
Got my first ticket in 27 years yesterday. 76 in a 55. I’m lucky. That car whispers at 90.
OH, ouch! exceeding pit road speed there! Will try to get over Trail Ridge again this year. Went a few years ago, the snow was still 10 feet deep on the sides of the road.
Are your doggie shoes made of lead???
You butt. Not you m.c. That 335i is incredible. One moment you are going 50, the next moment 90. ‘twas my fault of course; apparently I can do an on-line course and not pay the fine since I haven’t had a ticket for so long. High 80’s in Ashland w/ cool breeze. Had breakfast in my favorite town (Jacksonville) this morning.
I can not believe I got 19 Q points today!!!
Did Danica only wreck one car in practice today?
Speaking of drivers license I got my new lifetime license in the mail today.
Don’t know. I have to check qualifying to see if I will be getting enough in my Q-point welfare check to buy dog food for dinner.
Only 1 Q-point. I will trade you my race points tomorrow for a hamburger today!
Let me freep on it...
Hey Tork, what were your good 1/4 mile times with your Chevelle SS? Inquiring minds.....
my granddad died at 96....drove til 93 and he never once in his life was even stopped by police or was never in an accident....if there were only 2 cars in America and the speed limit was 55,,,he drove 54 mph
I only have excuses; as my son said I drive the car, the car doesn’t drive me. The 335i BMW is a beautiful car and a touch on the gas finds you doing 80 when the moment before you were doing 50. It’s a twin-turbo 300HP engine w/a top speed of 155MPH w/the limiter. I got the ticket on a remote 30 mile straight stretch (emphasis on “straight” and “remote”) and the speed limit was 55MPH. He locked me in a 76 - I could have been going 100 just as easily. Funny thing is that before we left on our trip I read my wife a story about a guy on a motorcycle was was caught on radar doing 130 MPH on that same stretch two days before.
my comment was only to be amazed at my grandfather....I saw a pic of your car and I’da been doin a 100...hope I did not sound like I was qualifyin ya
Ping. Race starting shortly.
If they keep making planes THIS good, even the Air Force might be able to land planes on carriers. };^)

1st Cartion for Mon-sewer Day-Bree.
How many cars will finish on the lead lap when this thing is done?
At the rate they’re going...about 10.
Remember what DW just said...”Cautions breed cautions”.
Love that backstretch in-the-road camera. Ever wonder what it’s like to be run over at 180 miles an hour?
MC is in at lap 178. Went with my wife into town and swung by a Toyota dealership. The Toyota 4Runner “Beyonce” has 224,000 miles and it looks like I will need to make several trips to Colorado Springs (about 120 miles each way) over the next year. The old 4Runner seats really make my lower back hurt on long trips so I need something with more seat adjustment. Test drove the new Highlander and 4Runner and liked the 4Runner better. Both have the same basic seats with air inflated lumbar support and it fealt much better than the old seats. So I may be getting Beyonce II soon. Still getting the Audi S6 as soon as it arrives in a few weeks, but don’t want to put all those commuting miles on it.
What did I miss in the race?
That should be several trips to Colorado Springs each week for the next year.
You missed KyBu lead for several hundred laps until he had a tar go down. Mr Bender suffered a small set back...
