I agree she should not get the death penalty but for a different reason. She is guilty, it was obvious it was premeditated. And Travis probably was abusive (which is typical for his background - when I heard the testimony about him I had seen it many times before from young Mormon men when I was LDS even down to having her convert then rejecting her b/c she wasn’t ‘celestial wife’ material).

However, she stated she would prefer death and for that reason alone, to prolong her suffering, she should face Life rather than the death penalty. On the other hand, it IS Kalifornia and a ‘death sentence’ is, in truth, life without parole.
