Remember those ancient public service announcements on TV about how you shouldn’t plug multiple extension cords into a single outlet and have cords all across the floor?
Since the advent of computers, everyone’s house looks like that now.
Sitting in my living room right now I have regular outlets, pretty much all in use.
Four or five six-outlet power strips also.
Two of them running my stereo and TV, something like 14 components total.
Another two running my desktop, printer, Wifi modem, UPS, and various peripherals.
Another one for lights, digital TV antennas and amps, etc.
Plus over the years my power usually goes out 3 or 4 times, sometimes extended, so I have a boatload of extension cords and multiple generators/inverters!
AND CANDLES!!
