I got two computer questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with.
First, in my work I regularly have to convert JPEG images from 60" x 45" at 72 DPI to 5" x 3.75" at 300DPI. I normally do this through Photoshop. However, the amount of the photos my coworkers have increased from say, 20-30 to over 800-900 at any one given time.
I'm trying to find a faster method of converting them. I've looked for software to do it en-mass but I really don't know where to look or what to look for. That's one.
Second, I downloaded a webpage template to help me in constructing a website of my own. But the bugger went and did something that blanks out my email address. No matter where I put it in the webpage, it's always blanked out, though the mouse, if it rests over the spot it should be, can be clicked to access it. Weird, and maddening.
I'm hoping someone has a simple way to address this one. It's an older template and the company no longer is in business (that I'm aware of) and was/is British so I can't pay anyone to send me a code to fix it.
Thanks for any help anyone can lend me.
Got it. Did not realize the actual size of the image was so large. Looks like you have lots of great help on here. I’m not expert where they are.
My approach would be to solve the source problem at the camera but realize that also probably does not fully satisfy what you need to do.
*shrugs* ... Past 50 myself.... I still get to be 'grasshopper' all the time : ) Always something I am doing that I am new at. Meant nothing by it, just your turn in the barrel.
Truth to tell, I'm more into hardware than software. Put me into a room full of broken PCs and say "Fix them" and I'm like a pig in slop.
Yeah, I fix em too - but I am the reverse of you - I can hold my own with hardware... R&R, and process of elimination stuff... but if I have to haul out a meter or a soldering gun, the box will quite likely go to my buddy Pat, who is like you... Likewise, if He hits a bad software problem, it comes to me. It ain't that I can't or he can't, more 'goes around gets around'... Neither of us has the time to stay on top of all aspects, so we stick with what we are good at and help each other.
Email me and I'll send you the item(s) in question.
Done this morning... Missed you yesterday. Sorry about that.
Roamer_1 also got the email problem fixed for me. I'm probably gonna redo the webpage from scratch to make coding simpler. If anyone wants to help with that I'm all ears.
Now I got one more issue I need to find help with. Basically, I need to find something to convert .msg Outlook files into PDF. I can do it manually, one at a time, through Outlook, but I'm trying to find something to convert them enmass. I've seen some programs online, but I'm not sure what ones are good.
One thing that really ticks me about converting .msg files is that, unless you manually inpurt a file name, Adobe PDF defaults to what's in the subject line. I need something that will keep the filename syntax I use because of how it is formatted:
YYYY-MM-DD-TTTT-Filename.msg
2013-05-16-1130-BOWSTpro.msg
Can anyone offer a suggestion?
Thanks.

Always back up your files before altering your file names.
