Explosive Documentary 'Hating Breitbart' Hits Theaters Nationwide

An explosive, feature-length documentary hitting an expanded roster of theaters nationwide on May 17 offers a captivating look at the larger-than-life personality of the late Andrew Breitbart – a controversial new media pioneer whom the left vilified and the right hailed as an American hero.

Coming more than a year after the sudden and mysterious death of the crusading 43-year-old journalist, the film Hating Breitbart was initially screened in a few theaters in October shortly before the presidential election, but is expanding to 10 markets nationwide on Wednesday, along with the film’s simultaneous release on DVD and video-on-demand.

Today is the national release day for "Hating Breitbart."

This is a review from one month ago, but I hadn't heard of this film until today when Rush Limbaugh mentioned it on his show. Rush stated that Andrew had been a liberal youth who grew up in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles, but as a young adult started to change his world view after reading Rush's book, "The Way Things Ought to Be," which he picked up from his father-in-law, Orson Bean.

I'm putting this movie on my to-do list.

I had not heard from Orson Bean in decades. I only knew him as a “celebrity” bpanelist on “To Tell the Truth”, akind to other celebrity panelists who seemed to be celebrities only because they were panelists (e.g. Brett Sommers-Match Game, Arlene Frances-What’s My Line, J.P. Morgan-The Gong Show, etc.). He must have had talent, though, getting famous with a name like Orson Bean.

The Rolling Stone article that came out mere days after Breitbart’s untimely passing, “Death of a Douche”, shows what the Left is all about. Breitbart, by all accounts, was a great husband and father, but his political beliefs meant that his death could and should be celebrated by the Left.

We recently saw the same with Margaret Thatcher’s passing. If you wanted a clear picture of the hate-filled, win at any cost mentality of the Left — celebrating the deaths of good people is telling of the Lefts’s personality.

Breitbart himself said some remarkably unkind things about Ted Kennedy shortly after his death.

Although I agree there is a good deal of difference between celebrating the death of good people and speaking the truth about dead bad people.
