Not to pick on WV, but many years ago I saw a documentary about Appalachia. Many of the people interviewed were unemployed. They complained about there being no jobs in their area. I wanted to shout at them through the tv screen: Why don’t you move to where the jobs are then pal?
There are probably more West Virginians from WV than in WV. The state’s population has been virtually stagnant for decades. Lots do move away.
