I am speechless, yep I’ll take earthquakes.
I've lived in both kinds of country, and the fact is there's no such thing as an earthquake shelter, nor does the earthquake warning amount to much since most of the earthquake energy is transmitted at high velocity (faster than the speed of sound in air). The onset of a strong earthquake is like a shock wake (like WHAM!) followed by intense shaking.
