No problem. Sounds like it was smart of her to get out of Dodge.

I think this is another step in Disney cutting across the board. They recently shuttered LucasArts and let go of their 2D Animators.

Not very sporting of them...

I think most of the on-air personalities will stay. Most of the layoffs will be “behind the scenes” people.

I think given that ESPN has several thousand employees at their Bristol, CT headquarters, losing 400 people won't make much of a difference anyway.

A tipster told Deadspin that ESPN is planning to lay off more than 400 employees today. WOW!
400 people Tweeting and posting on Facebook that Donovan McNabb sucks!

They could lay off Mike but keep Mike so it would be Mike in the Morning. The whole First Take crew should be gone.

I avoid the channel unless there is a live event that interests me. Last week, I heard an ESPN “talent” say that “only five baseball players matter nationally while about 30 NBA players have national appeal.” Stop promoting sports that have little importance such as college softball. Talk about sports business more often although that would mean the network would have to cease its dumbing down interests.

That person was on radio and he said that is why the discussion focused on certain players.

even worse than Dicky V. Vitale as least has some street cred (I knew him when he was coaching UD back in the 70s). Korny is a career media chump.
