The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term “natural born citizen” to any other category than “those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof”.

SCOTUS has never applied the term "natural born citizen" in a binding ruling to anyone, ever. They have discussed the term a few times in the dicta of cases that did not turn on natural born citizenship.
