SALT LAKE CITY For $1,000 you could become a multimillionaire. That's the promise of an old investment scheme that just won't die.
Many people promote the Iraq dinar as an investment with minimal risk and huge yield. But don't believe it. Real financial experts warn if you spend your U.S. dollars on dinars, you'll never see your money again.
John Maskrid describes his ranch in Kane County as 327 acres of splendor. It's on the market, and John says many prospective buyers have scoped out his property. That includes at least three people who've told him they're about to come into serious money.
"Come to find out, they had Iraqi dinars as currency," Maskrid said.
The buyers all tell John they paid a little over $1,000 for a million dinar, and they're expecting the dinar to hit the world market soon and skyrocket in value.
"They all firmly believe they'll be multimillionaires any day now," he said.

Any thoughts?
LOL
This is stupid, though I admit I might look into it if it wasn’t for the fact that I will soon be all set, financially. I’m helping a guy in Nigeria get several hundred million into the country and I get 10% for putting up the cash to “make it happen”.
What’s a measley $90,000 of my own money to get tens of millions?!
I’ve already got the boat and cars picked out. I wasn’t going to tell anybody about this but it’s hard to keep the lid on something so exciting.
My sister was huge on this- i told her if everyone bought a million dinars at $1000 and they price rose to a dollar each, they would have so many sudden millionaires it would be impossible to pay out that much money.
And then within a week the price of a sandwich in Iraq would go to $1000 USD
This has been around since at least September of 2011. A preacher gleefully and quietly informed me of this “great” opportunity. Yeah, Sure, Right.
I saw on an episode of CSI Miami that Iraqi dinars have similar rag content to our notes, so they are used by counterfeiters who bleach the bills then print over them. I wonder if that is true?
does anyoine know a good place to buy silver?
I know you gotta pay a little premium but the best iIhave seen so far is Goldline Silver Ingots- but the price would have to rise 13% just to break even

It is. I looked at this some 7 years ago. The dinars are worth less than they were then. Don't waste your money.
I’ve been counterfeiting US dollars for years. However, it passed the break even point around 2008. It costs me more than a dollar to print a dollar now. Maybe it’s time to move on to a larger denomination.
Good Luck with Nigeria.
No less than Ben Bernanke himself wrote me to tell me of the fortune awaiting me. As soon as I send in my banking information I’ll be rich and I don’t have to worry about any Nigerian connection.
A chain of Iraqi dinars selling falafel pancakes and halal sausage does sound like a good investment.
I have a 100,000 dollar Zimbabwe note you can have for a mere 100.00 dollars US. Heck of an investment.
Naw. My guy is really nice. He’s really hard to understand, even in writing, but I really felt sorry for the guy, and it is nice to be able to help - and get paid so much (soon).
I’m gonna take a tax penalty hit in my taxes this year for taking so much out of my 401K, but that will be chump change once I get the money.
I’m wondering if a Porsce is really enough car for the crouds I will be rubbing shoulders with. Maybe I need to look for something more exotic. I need to start pricing private jets, too.
Nigerian. Who would have thought?! Such a poor country, yet throwing around so much cash to get cash out. Sweet!

IRAQ 2005-—700 American gets you 1 million Dinars...then when the dinar hits the world market you are a millionaire!!!
Lots of soldiers and contractors fell for this and gave away money...HOWEVER...IF it ever came true...all money must be exchanged in 1 bank... and 1 bank only in the entire free world
And that bank is in downtown Baghdad!!
Sorry, I was never going back even for a million dollars...LOL
