Yes, good article. I worked with a union in CA that represented other school workers. Some of the janitors, cafeteria workers and yard people had to be laid off and parents wanted to volunteer in their kid’s schools to help keep them at a decent level. The union sued and won, kicking the parents off their kid’s school property if they so much as picked up a piece of trash. If I had been a parent I would have been all over that.
It’s really not any different from Obastard’s reasoning on Sequester budget cuts. Make it hurt people.
