Nope, no fancy extras. No voice commands. Just a refrigerator. Frozen on top, cold on the bottom.

The doctor laid it out, the consults probably won’t hold much of a surprise. The prostate is enlarged making it a poor candidate for radiation. Biopsy confirmed the cancer, so what to do? His answer is to observe, retest and watch. He’s too young for that. His father lived into his mid 80s, his mother is alive and well in her early 90s. He wants to die in his 60s? His brother may not live to see 60. At 56 he has stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to his bones and lymph nodes. What is this with the waiting? I don’t get it. He has some serious denial going on.

I consider ice and water in the door to be an essential. I will never go back.

I keep two 1-quart jugs in the fridge so I always have cold water.

That is the best kind-mine is a side-by-side and I never even hooked up the ice maker or the ice-and-water thing in the door-I never have needed it. Frozen on the left, cold on the right is all I need...

They are doing hormonal treatment for my father’s prostate cancer. He had radiation and chemo for the esophageal area last month.

A crook is a crook is a crook, just more crooked ways. Nixon has nothing on this administration. Nixon didn’t kill an ambassador. He didn’t sick the IRS on liberal political groups. Nixon looks tame compared to Obama. An innocent in deceit compared to O and his minions. As far and as long as the media dug into Nixon, Obama has far more garbage. O is an over achiever in Chicago style government. The media just doesn’t care unless it’s aimed at them. A+++

I doubt I’ll get 16 years out of this one, though.

I love not filling or cracking open ice trays. Remember the kind with the handle, to dislodge the cubes? You have to climb aboard the wayback machine for that one.

We had those when I was a kid. Big metal Westinghouse ice cube trays with the lever to break them apart.

My wife found some similar for sale online, but they were like $25 each.

Are they not suggesting the radiation seeds to begin with?

How old is your father? The more drastic removal is not recommended for elderly folks with other health issues. It is recommended for my husband. I cannot believe how many men I know who had it done. I keep encountering them, when they know my husband has it they open up. Otherwise, I would never know.

Had to go back and catch up on your new refrigerator after other comments - missed the original one. We have our old one from PA in the garage and it has run like a champ! The new one we bought in this house has already had several service calls and I doubt it will last nearly as long as the other one. What is up with appliances these days? Are they built poorly to begin with??? We are getting cheated I think.

I have to say ice is very important to me too - so we always get the dispenser in the door but if it isn't to you then I'm glad you could find a model that doesn't have that.

No, none of the radiation options are suitable for a man with an enlarged prostate. The studies all show a poor result. The best result will be with removal. They want to take it out, but he is not listening.

He still needs a second opinion on the results of the biopsy. Two different sites of cancer were found, one at 70%.

The doctor recommended a book, but he is refusing to read it. I am reading it. Both the recommended book and the one his brother lent him agree on the point of radiation and enlarged prostate. Heaven only knows what websites he is seeking out. Anything that agrees with his preconceived notion of what he wants to do. Which is nothing.

Thank you! Indeed they are both criminals-it is just a matter of semantics, and the media has never cared about that in their politicized world. I don’t care about their nitpicking or blame Bush crap-just haul Holder into court and worry about the rest later...

Probably not-I’ll be leaving this one here and getting another when I go build another house.
