Anyone, and I do mean anyone, who harms one of our dogs is a dead person walking. The only questions will be when, where, and how.
Even here in MA I can still shoot dogs if they go after my livestock.
I invite you to drop by our home and try to “exterminate” our pet. I’ll kill before you can twitch, that I promise you.
All one need do to prove it is look at the occupant of the White House and most of the politicians in this country.
That little puppy in the bottom right corner is clearly displaying engaged in biological terrorism. Biological weaponry is clearly being produced!
:)
And yet, as in the example, an Agent of the State was all too willing to seize her dog.
Simply because the good little government employee was convinced otherwise.
Clearly he’s exhibiting threatening canine behavior.
:)
An example? Not a single name was mentioned in this alleged incident. Who were the victims and who were the Canadian authorities?
which is no different from the comments made by Freepers in describing their experiences with corrupt government employees.
Made anonymously? Yes. In both cases.

The Dog Owner’s Liability Act is certainly verifiable:

Given the intelligence of the average government employee, and the state of the justice system, the account rings true.
Stupid forum posters’ should be exterminated...In the long run it would be doing them a favor.

The moral? The public in general (and the media and government employees in particular) requires education on dog breeds.
Except I've not seen links to dog breed sites made by Freepers attempting to give credence to their experiences with corrupt Canadian government employees.
“If I was a cop and saw a pitbull Id shoot the damn thing too. In the long run they probably did him a favor. The breed should be exterminated.”
This is why people need to take a test before being allowed to vote.
Cops get the wrong house, shoot the animal, leave him with the bill and the mess to clean up, and you side with the cop?
I’m NO fan of the pitbull, but this has to rank up there with most ignorant post of the decade, and there’s still almost seven years left. In fact, from here its a battle for number two.
The public in general requires education on many things more important than dog breeds. I’m a dog owner and have been for many years. Too many owners are irresponsible. Too many parents are irresponsible.
While also true, in the case of this article, we have a responsible dog owner; what we lack are responsible government employees who would never *dream* of storming an innocent man’s house.
It is the government employees, not the dog owner, who are responsible for the dog’s death here.
I can see how someone comparing apples to pianos, rather than apples to apples would come across that problem.
As established, there are some people who are so ignorant on te subject that they cannot even distinguish the more popular dog breedss with “pit bulls”. (Really a type, not a breed, just as “spitz” or “spaniel” are types, not breeds).
Thank the media.
Their efforts to encourage such hysteria only encourage breed & type bans.
And when people demand “something must be done” about irresponsible owners and their dogs, it is the responsible dog owners whose dogs are (literally, in the case of this story) in the crosshairs.
>>>What kind of dog has to be tied up<<<
Perhaps a house training in progress. My late dog’s trainer suggested that I tie my dog to the door knob while I was gone because they don’t poop where they sleep. After a few days confined, my dog no longer pooped in the house.
Yes, that is possible, either house training or an attempt to keep the dog from chewing on the owner’s possessions.
Or perhaps both.
Give it your best shot.
Just as are the guns of responsible gun owners.
such hysteria only encourage breed & type bans
There is nothing hysterical about pit bulls and pit bull crosses. They were bred for a purpose.
