Thank you! There was a cheeky raccoon eating sunflower seeds from one of the bird feeders under the trees when I came into the gate from the woods this morning-it just looked at me as I passed by and kept munching.

Hearing about the snooping on Verizon is giving me the creeps, added to all the other stuff-are we sure that J. Edgar is really dead?...

Did you see the story of this idiot?

This is notable for the fact that someone at the DNC still has a functioning sense of shame.

Don’t you hate it when you miss a decimal place and build a submarine 70 tons too heavy to float?

They’ve come a long way from the Armada days.

It isn’t helping my mood that I am watching the oversight hearings today and wish I could reach inside the TV and smack the former commish. Such arrogance. Even the democrats are feigning outrage.

The cancellation of the private pay-for-play lovefest is no more than the idiot deserved-just goes to show what a shameless whore our government has become.

Spain seems to need a brain transplant, doesn’t it? I’ve never been all that proud of my Spanish ancestry-my Native American ancestors were not nearly as greedy or cruel...

I’ve spent the past hour fooling with that damn truck, driving up and down 1/2 mile of the road, trying to figure out what makes it get locked in park so I can’t get into gear, or get my keys out of the ignition without using a screwdriver to operate the manual override switch.

Only thing I’ve found is that the mechanism works fine-shifts from park, releases the keys, etc, as long as the engine hasn’t been running for more than 2 minutes-after that, no way in hell will it work...

I dont suppose a series of short trips would work for you?

If you had insufficient power the switches and solenoids would fail to function. But that would make more sense if it didnt work when on battery. If charging system was bad i would expect it to get worse each time you stopped and started again.

You might want to find the fuse powering these and change it. Could be a weak point and a cheap thing to try.

The power was the first thing I thought of, but the battery is new, and has been charging fine-I’ve made several trips for work of 30 miles or so-I’ve had to resort to the screwdriver every time I stopped.

Thanks for the idea- I’ll check the fuses tomorrow morning-I’m sort of tired of the thing for now...
