Ah that makes me sad, carriage_hill, but I do believe that it is the truth, and the truth does hurt :(
I have been of the opinion for a time now that the constitution, which I love very much, was flawed in that it created the very beast which will consume everything.
It did try to create a limited government contained by checks and balances, but those checks and balances rely upon the honesty of man, and that is why it was doomed to fail from minute one.
In a couple of shows, he seemed to. But lately, I think he’s given-up, knowing what he knows, on all of the scandals. 0traitor’s seemingly untouchable.
If 0liar impaled 10 babies on pikes on the White Hut/Crib lawn, he’d be hailed for providing women’s health care by 52% of the corrupted population.
Believe me, chris37, it hurt to have to write that and leave it up as how I felt, over the past few years.
Remember Ben Franklin’s words to the woman outside of Independence Hall, at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787: a lady asked Dr. Franklin “Well, Doctor what have we got, a republic or a monarchy.” Franklin replied, “A republic . . . if you can keep it.”
Sadly, we’ve proven we can’t.
Yes, that is the case.
It seems to me that if nothing can or will be done now. then nothing can or will be done ever.
We will not be free, because we are not willing to do what it takes to be free.
