Ping!
Braaaaaaapppppppp!
I tried the ale I bottled a week ago last night. Pale Ale brewed with WLP 090 and I did my best to hold 62-65 or 68 f , numerous hop additions and dry hops. Brewed with grain bag AND hop bag. I ran the wort through a screen before bottling (actually ale at that point) to remove the dry hops. Clear as can be in one week. Man it was good! I think I have been getting a little Hot Side Aeration and so I think I can do even better next time.
So here goes: (first time to do this)
Primary- Mead
Secondary- 90 min dogfish clone
“tertiary”- Belgian Trippel (from the White Lab recipe)
Bottled and working my way through (all from Papazian’s book):
R U Kidding Pils
Hanging Possum Pils
The Good Life Ale
An all grain clone of Homebrew USA’s American Cream Ale
And the most recent, West Side Connection Ale.
Enjoying a Hanging Possum right now! Mmmm mmm, good!
Any Freepers in the southern California area, I highly recommend a visit to Noble Ale Works, just north of Anaheim Stadium. My son parks in their parking lot for free and walks to the stadium, he just stops in for a beer before the game, and one after. There is no décor, just a few tables set next to the brewery. He took me there after a game this week, and it was well worth it.
So when I was arriving home from work about 90 minutes ago I noticed cars parked up and down the block and thought to myself "Hmmmm...someones having a party". Imagine my surprise when I realized it was at my house! My daughter turned 17 today and invited a few people over. All nice kids though and my wife is keeping careful watch on things.
Anyways when I walked into the house I scowled and whistled really loudly and angrily shouted "OKAY, EVERYONE OUT!!!......JUST KIDDING!!! HI EVERYONE!!!"
