I don’t see the relevance of post 18, but nevermind.

What I meant about my dad was he would often make the point that, esp. living in the City, one doesn’t realize the extent of poverty in rural areas or even who is poor in the city.

I remember him saying that there were many Orthodox Jews on welfare in NYC. That if you were not “in with the in crowd” amoung that group that it was hard to get by due to their strict religious needs, such as getting home before sunset on Fridays.

I have no reason to doubt anything my dad ever told me, he was a very kindly, conservative, religious, respectful person. He had a lot of respect for his “clients”, provided they deserved that respect of course. Obviously he dealt with some “bad actors” as he would call them.

So I say these things not to insult anyone and obviously I can’t prove anything nor even speak from my own personal knowledge. But I throw in what pennies of thought I have to offer in the best spirit of debate and conversation.

You said that this is accurate “”70% of welfare is given to rural whites....the very ones who populate many of those seedy trailer parking lots.””.

As stupid as that hostile claim is on the surface, post 18 shows the actual facts from the current federal numbers and destroys that ridiculous claim.

That is how post 18 is relevant.
