In my teen years we ran across a guy that had his car totaled and the Bear was on the side of the road ... groggy but still standing. In those days we all had guns with us... all we had was a 22LR single shot Rifle (That very Rifle is actually behind me as I type)... To put the Bear out of it’s misery I first tried right between the eyes... didn’t phase it at all, next was a Heart Lung Shot from about 4’ (the first attempt aggravated the Bear)... barrel right in it’s eye finally did the trick... THEY ARE TOUGH.
